CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

A company that apart from focusing on business growth, pays attention on the welfare of society, is a company that prospers. We stay aware with the issues of society & environment and this awareness has made us socially responsible. We take many CSR measures that help us in growing in every aspect, and giving a positive impact on economy along with society and environment.
We contribute to Society through:

1. Health Awareness - Cyclothon

We have organized a program called Cyclothon for health awareness among Tempsens Employees on 15th Oct., 2017. Almost 250 members including our employees and their respective families graciously participated in it.

2. Clothing Drive

We have donated clothes and footwear to people who are needy and unprivileged, at Math Madri Kacchi Basti Area on 14th October, 2017.

3. Positive Charge Charitable Trust

A Positive Charge Charitable Trust @Tempsens Instruments is operational, which contributes to various pertinent Social Causes.
Donation camps were organized by us in Tribal Areas to donate footwear to the people of Kotrad Village on 29th Dec., 2016. We are doing our best to make a difference in various lives.
We have conducted Blood Donation Camps at Tempsens premises on 28th Dec., 2016. More than 70+ people participated in this donation camp.

4. Health Camps, Meditation / Yoga Camps

We have organized a Yoga Camp by Guru Maa at Tempsens Unit II for 1 week from 9th to 14th Jan., 2017 so as to promote health and make employees learn stress management.

5. Health Awareness

On 9th April, 2017, we organised a Walk By the Lake - Marathon so that we can create health awareness among Tempsens Employees. More than 180 members of our company and their families took part in this activity.

6. Skills Development Programs

We are taking great initiative in skills development of youth and with the help of MSME we provide apprenticeship training diploma and ITI. After providing sufficient training, we also provide jobs to those individuals so that they can earn their livelihood.

7. Plantation

We are highly focused about the betterment of environment. No foul practices are ever promoted which might cause harm to the environment. We plant and maintain trees in and around the premises. We are proud to state that more than 30% plantation of our area is developed by us. Being situated in an industrial area, we seek to increase at least 20% plants every year to keep factories and surrounding areas dust free and green.

8. Plant Distribution @Tempsens

We have organized a Plant Distribution camp on Saturday, 8th July, 2017. We distributed plants to our employees who were willing to plant a tree. It was not a big effort, but enough to make the environment greener. Our team planted various plants around the factory.

9. Food for life Drive

We serve food to 250-500 unprivileged children in slum areas on every Saturday.

8. School Uniform Distribution

We distribute school uniforms to Students of Maheshwari Innovative School, Umrad Village, Udaipur.

10. Health Check Up Camps

We organized Health check-up camps for production workers. Better health means better productivity.

11. Training Programme on CPR and Management of Common Emergencies

We have provided training for CPR and management of common emergencies on 21st July, 2018 at Tempsens training center so as to increase awareness for health and safety. This training session was undertaken by Dr. Karuna Bhandari, MD (EX -CMO, HZL), Apollo Hospital Outreach Centre, Udaipur. More than 50 members of the company took part in the training.

CSR Policy

1. Guiding Principles

We put in continuous efforts to give a positive impact on the society, specifically to the areas surrounding the sites and offices. We have formulated various policies that are used for social development on below mentioned guidelines:-
  • To respect the laws and understand all responsibilities as a corporate citizen.
  • We must continue to grow with harmony and innovate new management techniques
  • To adopt new approaches so that we succeed at attaining greater balance between social and economic development. 
  • Always respect culture and customs of all our projects and locations
  • Continuously work towards eliminating the barriers for social inclusion of disadvantages groups such as socially backward, poor differently abled, etc.
  • Undertake practices which aim at inclusive growths
  • Give rise to environment protection
2. Applicability

Our policies are application to all the personnel working with us, and are mandated with CSR expenditure obligations as per Sec. 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 which is read with the Rules of Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy), 2014, as amended from time to time.

3. Focus Areas

Our CSR targets inclusive growth of all the stakeholders, under various categories which are mentioned under SCH. VII of the companies act- 2013.
Those norms leads us towards maintaining cleanliness in drinking water, sanitation, make us focus on education, healthcare, social development, livelihood opportunities and environment protection. These are:
  • Rural development projects
  • Focus on healthcare by maintaining sanitation and drinking water
  • Promote education, vocational skills & scientific research (Incl. Educational Infrastructure).
  • Promote gender Equality & Women Empowerment (Incl. Old age homes).
  • Enhance environmental sustainability.
  • All the other elements which as may be prescribed from time to time under Sch. VII of The Companies Act, 2013.
